We are delighted to be able to offer shipping to the EU again and crucially we ship all standard orders and cover all the fees, meaning that there are:
No unexpected charges – No Duty, No Sales Tax, No Admin Fees to pay – GUARANTEED.
Following the UK’s departure from the EU, we have worked hard with our partners to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible and have developed systems to ensure that your orders clear customs smoothly, without delays and without unexpected additional costs.
For our customers in France, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands
The price you pay on the website will be the total price paid - you will not need to pay any additional customs fees, sales tax, duty or admin fees when your goods enter Europe - Cosy Owl pay them all on your behalf. This is great news to us all and our automatic systems will ensure that customs have all the information needed to clear without any delays, so delivery times shouldn’t be unduly extended beyond the anticipated 5-7 business days.
For our Customers in EU Nations not Present on the Website
We are delighted to confirm we are able to ship to our customers in all EU nations and the process for this slightly differs to the above. Please contact a member of the sales team by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can create a Cosy Owl account for you and take you through the process of placing your orders. This is for our customers in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep., Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Rep. of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Unfortunately, if your country is not in this list, we are currently unable to ship goods to you.
Orders to these nations will be placed exclusive of sales tax and you will be contacted to pay this when goods enter Europe.
Are you registered for Sales Tax in Your Country and Need to Reclaim this?
On the site, the prices we are charging include sales tax and generally this will be paid directly upon clearing customs. If you are a business that is registered for sales tax in your country, we can now remove this at the point of sale and instead you will be charged this directly at the point goods enter your country and you will be able to claim this back at a later date if you have provided us with the correct information.
If you will need to re-claim sales tax, please contact us at email@example.com so we can register you on the website as an ex-sales tax customer. You must also provide us with a valid TVA number (or equivalent) at this stage. Failure to do so means you will sadly be unable to reclaim the sales tax.
Once we have registered you on Cosy Owl, place any items you wish to purchase (taking note of the products prohibited in your nation) into your online basket, log out of your account and send us an email. We shall then take over the process for you to create an order excluding sales tax and confirming your TVA number. We shall also provide you with payment options once the order has been confirmed. We will ship your order in a way that means customs will contact you directly as it enters Europe. They will invoice you directly for sales tax and once paid, will release it from customs to be delivered to you. Because you are paying the sales tax directly you can then claim it back. Your shipping cost from Cosy Owl will also be reduced by the equivalent of £5, as this is the customs clearing fee. This fee will, however, also be payable directly by you as your order enters the EU. The eventual cost to you will be exactly the same as shown on the site but it will mean you can reclaim the sales tax element. It is important to note that it is not possible to re-claim sales tax on orders that were placed without going through this process.
Prohibited Items (Correct as of March 2021)
We are unable to ship Carrier Oils, Shea Butter, Augeo Base Oil and Beeswax outside of the UK
In addition to the above, we are unable to ship Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils to Austria, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sweden or Switzerland

We are delighted to be able to re-open for orders to Europe and though these changes are not great for anyone, we are pleased that we have been able to minimise the cost and time implications and are able to offer ongoing support to our European customers.
